American fashion photographer Ross Whitaker was a regular at Paris’ hippest parties. From the strobe-lit dancefloors of Les Bains Douches, Le Privilège, and Privé, his intimate photographs of the capital’s most fashionable revellers capture the hedonistic energy of the club scene.
Creatively, the 80’s and 90’s was a coterie of society belles, artists, models, actresses and intelligensia. It was a pivotal era of art and culture, dismissing traditional notions of social class, beauty, ethnicity and sexuality, with an insatiable appetite for decadence.
The AW16 collection is inspired by the style, energy and ideology of the era: a non-stop party at a time when it was hip to be glamorous.
